Vehicle Detail
Hello, you are looking at a 1968 Jeep CJ5. it runs and drives, but needs a small fix on the brakes. while bleeding the brakes, i put alot of pressure on the pedal and busted the rubber boot on the master cylinder where the brake pedal plunges. its a simple $20 fix, but im ready to sell it, as i no longer have time to use the vehicle. the reason it busted was due to age, and the rubber deteriorated, causing it to become weak and crack. the master cylinder and brakes are fine though. that is why this vehicle will need to be towed, since you wouldnt be able to stop. it does have some rust here and there, but it a very solid vehicle and the rusty areas are easy, cheap fixes in areas that are not major at all; a quarter panel on the passenger side, and the passenger side rocker panel area. reason for not fixing is because it was my woods toy, and things are bound to get dented up anyway. there are: NEW brake drums and shoesNEW brake lines and hosesNEW fuel lines and fuel pumpNEW battery and cable connectors this jeep has a dana 44 rear end and the 4x4 works perfectly fine. it comes with 2 original steel doors with glass windows and 2 sets of (5) wheels and tires. one set has 33" gateway buckshots. in the pictures, it doesnt show it with a tailgate, but it does have a tailgate that comes with it. it has a 8500lb wench that is new, never used. however, it is dirty and weathered but still works perfectly. this is a relisting, due to the previous bidder that won would not pay. this jeep is being sold AS-IS and i require $500 deposit within 48 hours of auction closing. the buyer will have to come pick it up and either haul it on a trailer or pull it with the tow bar on the front. thanks for looking!
