Vehicle Detail
As stated earlier, this Trooper is a 4 wheel drive 2.6 liter 4 cylinder gasoline engine with a 5 speed transmission. It has not been cranked in over a year but it was my daily driver in college and it cranked and drove fine the last time I drove it; the battery may need to be changed or charged, as well as the oil and gas. I will not replace anything so it is sold "As-Is" and will probably need to be hauled away, unless you bring a battery and some gas. The engine only has about 130,000 miles on it, which is pretty low for these Japanese 4 cylinder engines, it runs strong and smooth. Yes, this is the high quality Japanese engine that is known to run strong for hundreds of thousands of miles. The transmission is perfect; all gears 1-5 and R shift completely and easily. There is an exhaust leak but it doesn't affect the performance. I was involved in an accident in this Trooper which resulted in bending the frame. I drove it around for months like this but it pulled slightly right. Since I could not find a mechanic willing to bend the frame back straight I just had the toe end straightened so it would drive straight. I drove it another 6-8 months every day with the straightened toe-end and never had problems with steering or pulling. There are some other minor things wrong with it considering it is 23 years old (but a classic!). The driver's side window needs a new mechanism so it'll roll down (I bought one but never installed it so I think it's still in the vehicle, if so you can have it free). The paint is chipped and scratched. There are other things that aren't perfect (no AC, some gauges don't work, but the heat works great!) but it's up to the new owner whether or not to fix them. For example, the tires probably only have 20-30% life left. The front fender was damaged in the accident but has been replaced with a different color one. It's an old vehicle but a tough one; basically I did was drive it to and from college and drive it off-road to manage pastures and forests. Like I said, it cranked and drove fine last time I cranked it and I drove it a few miles for 15 or 20 minutes, but that has been over a year now. I think it would make a fine hunting vehicle or farm vehicle. If you have a zero feedback score (or less than 5) I will ONLY ACCEPT PAYPAL! Everyone should be aware that there are scammers on ebay that send you a fake check as payment and get you to send them their "change" to an offshore bank account. But they've hacked a bank account and they get cash while you get stuck with the responsibility to repay the original hacked account.
