Up for auction is the only known 1956 LLoyd wagon in the United States. This LLoyd has been going through a restoration, but the owner has now decided to sale. He is selling his collection of cars, as he is turning 80 years young, and can not take care of all of them. The LLoyd has only 6523 original miles from new. It was purchased new in April 1957 at Action Car Sales in Lewiston Idaho, then taken to Grangeville Idaho where it was used to deliver eggs to the stores in town. It did not have enough power to get up & down the hilly country side, so was parked after a short time. It sat in Grangeville at it's home for most of its life, not driven, and then came to Lewiston just a few year ago. The new owner has applied new paint, reupholstered the interior, re chromed the round tube bumpers, (only in 1956) polished all stainless, put on new 4.00 4.25 X 15 Excelsior tires on freshly powder coated wheels. It has all original glass with German script, and the owner has had the car running & driving. The only thing left to do is finish the brakes. The master cylinder has been rebuilt. Wheel cylinders should have new kits installed. Kits for the front wheels are included. The emergency brake dose work, to help with loading. The engine is a 19 h.p. air cooled two cylinder, four stroke, mounted up front, connected to a three speed manual transmission, and this car is front wheel drive. (The engine runs good.) The interior looks great, with its original rubber floor mats, and new upholstery over original folding front, & rear seats. The car is very small as you can see in the pictures, next to the Chevy coupe.( this is micro car.) This little LLoyd will make a grate addition to any collection.
