Vehicle Detail
This classic vehicle, in its current condition, with unrestored body is in overall good shape. It runs and drives great. Exterior: The exterior paint and sheetmetal is starting to show its age. There are some minor rust spots in the lower portions of the quarter panels and front fenders along with some spots on the doors. The rear tail pan is also showing some previous body repairs. However, the floor and trunk pans are solid and in great shape. Most panels are straight. Chasis is free of any major rust and is equipped with solid body mounts. Aftermarket chrome steel wheels (14 inch-front and 15 inch rear). Aftermarket tires with 50% tread. Interior: The interior is in great overall shape. The dash, seats and panels are free of any rips and cracks. The headliner is also in good shape with only one minor repair. In addition, the glass is good and all windows function properly. The after market carpet does not have any tears Originally an A/C car. However, the A/C components have been removed, but it does have working heat. Aftermarket Kenwood tuner CD audio system with Kenwood speakers. Weatherstriping for door glass needs to be replaced. Mechanical: 355 cid 1968 small block Chevrolet (2 bolt main) performance rebuild in 2006. Cast iron crackshaft and rods. Forged TRW pistons (9.5 compression ratio). Regular volume/high pressure oil pump. Lunati Voodoo flat tappet camshaft (p/n: 10120703), Edelbrock Performer RPM cylinder heads with matching Performer RPM intake manifold. Edelbrock Performer EPS 800 cfm carburator with manuel choke, Holley fuel pump, GM HEI distributor with 50,000 coil and MSD ignition module box. Hedman headers with true dual exhaust (2.5 inch). 350 turbo transmission. B and M shift improver kit, and TCI Breakaway 2,500 stall torque converter. Hurst dual gate shifter. 12-bolt genuine Camaro rear end. Professionally rebuilt in 2004 with 3.42:1 gear ratio (GM ring and pinion), superior axles, and Eaton true posi-traction. Radiator and gas tank with fuel sending unit replaced in 2003. Many other components replaced over the past 18 years I've owned this Camaro. I have documentation for nearly all parts and service. Original factory components: Power 4-wheel drum brakes, power steering (modified to accommodate for the headers), A/C (no longer functioning), astro ventilation windows. If you are looking for a solid foundation for a restoration project this maybe the Camaro for you. For the better part of 15 years it has been garaged and occasionally driven. Professionally appraised in May, 2014. Appraisal will be provided with vehicle. There is no finacing available and no checks will be accepted. Payment arrangements will be made at the time of sale. Vehicle is located in the St. Louis, MO Metro Area.
