Vehicle Detail
This listing is for my wife's Explorer XLT. Please read the ENTIRE ad. Thanks! As you can see from the pictures it is in good shape and very clean. Before I say any more I will tell you the mileage...ready?...334,000 miles. YES! you read that correctly. And it still runs and drives great because I took really good care of it. I'm obviously not going to offer a warranty but I bet it goes for another 50,000 easily with the usual maintenance. And with a little luck even 100,000 more. But my wife finally wanted something else so she bought something else and I get the job of selling this one. There are a whole bunch of things that are still great with this truck but as you can imagine, over that many miles there are some issues too. Check the blue book value and you will see the asking price is in line with a "less than fair condition" car. Thanks for looking and feel free to call or text if you want to see it or test drive it. Here are the details: It's Clean and Runs Great It has a Remote Start, Keyless Entry It has COLD A/C and HOT Heat Sunroof Cruise Control Power Doors, Windows, Seat, and Sunroof Leather Kenwood Stereo w/remote, and newer Sony speakers (It jams!) Rear Wiper NEW STUFF: Battery, Tires, Shocks, Blower Motor, 4x4 shift motor RECENT STUFF: Alignment, Trans Fluid/Filter, Diff Fluid, Transfer Case Fluid. So as you can see there is a lot of good stuff here. Here is what is wrong with it: 1. The Check Engine Light comes and goes every week. I've had it checked and for the last 4 years it's been the same transmission codes. It still drives really well. Actually last summer we drove it to New York and back. For emissions tests we just unhook the battery to clear the codes, hook it back up, drive about 80 miles and then get the test before it comes back on. 2. ABS light. The right front sensor wire came loose from it's mounting spot and got rubbed by the tire. So the light comes and goes. 3. The blend door for the heat is stuck. If you have it set to MAX A/C it blows very cold A/C just fine. Any other setting will blow very hot heat. This went bad many years ago but I never took the dash apart to get to the actuator. My wife said she was fine as long as she had hot and cold so I never bothered to fix it. 4. Left turn signal. It works. But it has a glitch. The dealership said many years ago that "There was nothing wrong with it" HAHA. It's been our inside joke. If you hold it like you are changing lanes it works fine. If you push it down until it clicks it will buzz unless you push the hazard button down and release it. (don't ask me how my wife figured that one out. I don't know) 5. Lastly, the drivers power door has partly failed. The keyless entry will unlock all the others. It won't lock any. The drivers door only unlock with the key. The button inside will unlock all the doors but not lock them. The passenger door and tailgate buttons both work fine.
