In very good shape for a 56 year old car, certainly presentable but not show condition.A lifetime Idaho desert car, the body has survived very well. It would benefit from a complete detail, as it had been sitting in dry storage for some years before being pulled out & being made roadworthy again. It obviously isn't going to stand up to a close inspection, you would find many imperfections. The overall effect though is favourable, from 10 feet it looks great. The unusual side moulding treatment almost appears to be factory, though most likely is an aftermarket kit of the day. I believe the engine to be a 1962 406 (forerunner to the mighty 427), but can produce no evidence other than the fact that it runs strong. The unusual side molding treatment along with the chrome headlight & tail light bezels & simulated exhaust ports on the rear quarters is the factory "Spring Special" option introduced in March of 1958 & produced until June to boost sagging sales in a time of recession. I believe the engine to be a 1962 385HP 406, but can produce no evidence other than the fact that it runs strong. It has power steering & drives well.
