Hello and Thank You for viewing my auction. If you are looking at this auction chances are you know the history of these Mercedes Diesel Vehicles. The 83-85 Mercedes Diesel's are the most sought after vehicles today due to their bullet proof engines. This color combination on this vehicle is the most desirable combination of paint code(623) light ivory exterior with a beautiful palomino interior. There are many examples out there with over 1 million miles on them. This was the EPIC of Mercedes engineering and will never be seen again. The vehicle has always been in the South so you will not see the rust in the trunk and in the rocker panels or floors like you see in most 123 chassis Mercedes from other parts of the country. The exterior is beautiful for a 30 year old vehicle and still shows very nicely. The interior is in remarkable condition. There are no cracks in the dashboard which is next to impossible to find. The carpets are like new and the headliner is perfect. The original owner had the steering wheel covered since it was new and also had a protector around the ignition key area to not scratch the dash with your keys..I removed both of these about 8 months ago. The passenger side rear window does not work and needs a regulator but it never bothered me as I would never use that window so I never repaired it. All the gauges work ,all the interior dome lights work ,the dash lights work,has a beautiful JVC HD ready stereo system with remote. The huge moon roof works and when it is open you feel like you are in a convertible. The Air Conditioner blew cold last summer but not blowing cold this year. I checked the charge valve and it still has pressure so there is not a hole in the line and could just need a charge. The tires are like new and the wheels look like new. The chrome bumpers are perfect. Looks like new inside the trunk as well. Power antenna works! Door lock individually but the central locking vacuum system has a leak in the vacuum line so all 4 doors do not lock at the same time and this is an easy fix if you decide to fix it. Wipers,headlights,high beams,fog lights,turn signals,hazards all work. Very clean under in the engine bay. I just returned from a 2500 mile round trip to Wisconsin with no issues.. I have original sales invoice and tons of history paperwork from when it was new. Original owner traded in a Porsche 911 on this as you can see in the last photo. Mercedes needs to build this car again and stop building the low quality vehicles they are building now. Happy Bidding and don't let this beauty slip away.
