Vehicle Detail
To start out, I know very little about motorcycles so please ask questions if there is something you want to know that is not stated in the description. 1976 BMW R90/6. This bike came with a few other things I purchased from a police auction. Any car, truck, or motorcycle that comes from the police auction automatically receives a salvage title from the state of Ohio. Anyway, I checked it out and here is what I found. It has been sitting for a long time and there is no way to know for sure when it was last started or ridden. The gas tank was empty, but tires still had air, although low. I put some gas in and it was slowly dripping from the carburetor bowls. I put the only motorcycle battery I had into it, (because the one in it was literally falling apart.) I turned the switch to run, turned the choke on, and hit the starter. The bike started and ran fine. I took it down the road and back, it actually feels good. after my test run, the carburetors do not leak any longer. I have no idea why, but they don't. The serial numbers all match. The odometer says 38684 and it does work even though the needle for the mph is missing. RPM gauge not working. No signaling lights work. The headlight is missing. The wiring needs attention. The ignition switch does not work. The key fits the seat lock, fork lock, ignition, and gas cap, but will only lock/unlock the seat. Tires are very old, but hold air and felt fine on the test ride. Brakes work very well. Clutch feels great. Transmission feels great. Engine runs great. The warning lights on the dash do work. Tool kit and manuals are there. The factory air pump is there and it does work. I think I have covered everything, but please feel free to ask questions, or you can call me at 614-746-9939. I will work with you if you need it shipped. I am going to advertise it locally, so the listing may end early. Thanks for looking and no Paypal on this item.
