Vehicle Detail
Thanks for looking at my listing for my restored 1958 BMW ISETTA 300. I have owned the ISETTA for 14 years. It was restored about four years ago. A full nut and bolt restoration. You will see in all of the pictures that I have posted with the listing that it is definitely a looker and was done with good taste. The ISETTA has a current registration in my name paid till February 2015. This is not a flip. I owned the car for 14 years. If you need the ISETTA shipped I have no problem in assisting the buyer in the shipping process. Buyer pays for shipping. There are lot's of great shipping companies out there and I have had the pleasure in using some of them. This is a 1958 model ISETTA. Vehicle Identification # 571924. The car is stored in my warehouse located in Henderson, NEVADA. Just a few miles away from Las Vegas. The odometer reads 00005 kilometers. When I had the ISETTA restored I had a NEW Speedometer installed. I will do my best to describe everything interesting or important about the ISETTA. Please look closely at all of the pictures posted with the listing. The paint on the ISETTA is beautiful. To me red ISETTAS are the best looking ones. The red paint has a beautiful shine to it and looking over it I didn't see any flaws that caught my eye. Everybody that has seen the car has complimented it. It is definitely a looker. Chrome on the car is in excellent condition except for the front left bumper which has some flaking on the chrome as shown in one of the pictures. The ISETTA has a rear chrome luggage rack which looks great on the car. I added a picnic basket my wife found for me which has plates, cups, forks, knives etc.... To me it just looks right on the ISETTA and adds a custom touch. All badges and emblem are metal. I did add some silicone on the BMW badge as it was a little loose so you will see in the pictures some temporary tape on it. All lenses and trim are in great condition. The black convertible top is in excellent condition. Tires are in good condition. The white portawalls would do good with a touch up. Portawalls sometimes yellow through time. They sell products that clean whitewalls or you can paint them. The interior is beautiful. The material looks right on the car. I have seen too many ISETTA's with odd looking interiors and really searched for a color combination that looked right and I feel that the final result is perfect. I added a rubber floor mat with the ISETTA logo. The interior has a CHROME inside luggage rack that you do not see that often. Steering wheel was restored. NEW Horn button. All NEW wiring. It truly looks beautiful. Too many NEW parts to list. Now regarding the mechanical part of the ISETTA. The engine was rebuilt about six years ago. The car has been sitting for three years. It will need to be brought back to life. It will need a new battery, new fuel, carburetor cleaning and adjusting, new spark plug, tune-up and brakes. I am selling it as is. I am not a mechanic so I can't fix it myself. I use to live in California and I had mechanics that would work on my collection but I moved out to the Las Vegas Valley 2 1/2 years ago and have not found a ISETTA mechanic. Yes the engine turns over. Yes the air filter is not original. I am selling this ISETTA with a Buy It Now price which I feel is very reasonable but I am also considering offers. Please only provide a offer if your serious about the car and have the money. The ISETTA IS SOLD AS IS WITH NO WARRANTIES.
