Sharp and Classy 1982 380SL that's ready for a summer cruise, snappy RWD features a 3.8L V8 Engine, automatic transmission, true spoke wheels, a removable hardtop for when it's nice out and a softtop for when it starts to rain.The odometer shows 21,574 miles but there is a sticker in the door that shows that Mercedes Dealership changed the odometer at 56,000 miles so we are saying 77,476 miles. The exterior is red with a black removable hard top and a tan convertible top. Both tops are in excellent condition. The body and frame are very good with no rust, The interior is tan leather and it is clean and in very good condition with somear showing on the drivers seat piping. We've checked it over and it is in good mechanical condition. It has Michelin tires that are in good condition. It starts up every time and runs very strong. I just took it for a drive and the only thing I noticed is it cuts out when it reaches about 2500 rpms. One of my mechanics thinks he knows what is causing that so we will try to get it fixed. Overall a very nice car.Check out the NADA Classic value for this car , you'll be surprised. It has a rev limiter built into it that is supposed to cut out at 5400 rpm's. We bypassed the circuit and nor more cutout. I am getting a new relay and will include it in the sale price. By bypassing the circuit it idles about 1800 rpm but it no longer cuts out. The new relay will fix both problems. Perry Mollohan. The top is in very good condition with one small tear or worn spot which I have included a picture of. It isnt all the way thru and is on top of a brace so no air leak I dont think.Overlook the wrinkles it has been folded down for a while and they will relax in the sun.
