Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is an 1962 Ford F-250 step side in very nice original condition. This is a 3/4 ton truck with 8 lug 17" rims. I purchased this truck from the original owners son who got it when his Father passed away in 1997 and he put it in the barn where I rescued it, a true barn find? I have left the body all original with the exception of putting a new oak bed in it, door mirrors, and painting the wheels and bumper. I have put several new parts on it to get it running and make it a dependable driver, the engine runs very well, does not leak a drop of any fluids and the 4 speed manual shifts perfectly. I have replaced all the hoses, belts, water pump, fuel filter, battery, starter, gaskets, horn, etc. I have also replaced all four brakes and wheel cylinders along with putting new original bios 10 ply tires on the front of the truck, I left the farm tires on the rear as they were good with no dry rot. The interior is all original, gauges work, although I did put a new one piece rubber floor mat in along with shifter boot and door arm rest. The body and floor boards are very solid with the exception of a little surface rust starting on the bottom of the front fenders, you can see in pictures. Door steps and cab mounts are in good shape also. The hood does have a few dings in it along with passenger side door and rear quarter panel also in pictures. The truck is not perfect but for 52 years old, it's pretty nice. I rubbed out the original Ragoon Red paint and it shined up extremely well. If you like patina, it is a perfect truck for you but also a good solid complete truck to restore. The buyer is responsible for shipping and it is being sold as is with no warranty. A $500.00 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction end and remainder due before delivery. Please have all pre inspections done before the end of auction. If you have further questions you can email me directly at jstoppelman@kc.rr.com Bid with confidence, this is a real find. On Jun-13-14 at 14:59:43 PDT, seller added the following information: The sunvisers are there but not in the best shape, only thing bad with interior. The passenger door shuts fine but may need minor adjustment as it does have a small air gap at top.
