  Up for sale is a very lovely 1985 BMW 528e. This vehicle is in wonderful condition for its age. I purchased this beauty from the original owner a few months ago as a commuter vehicle but, personally, the car is in too good of condition to use and abuse on a daily basis. I believe an enthusiast would appreciate how good of condition it is in for it's age and will care for it properly, hence the sale. The vehicle starts right up and drives wonderfully, straight and true. These motors are notorious for lasting a lifetime when cared for properly, and this car is no exception. This car has been cared for and it shows from the condition of the exterior, the interior, and the drivetrain. It was owned and cared for by the same individual from new for almost 30 years; I am the second owner. It has never been in any accidents. Regarding the exterior, the paint is in relatively good condition. There are no burns, fade marks, etc. The sides retain a nice shine. The roof, hood, and trunk look a tad duller than the sides; I think a nice condition and buff would bring the car right back. Wheels are immaculate, tires. The interior is in wonderful condition for it's age. The leather is beautifully supple. No cracks in the dash! One small tear in the drivers seat. Other than that, the interior speaks for itself. The car drives about beautifully. Accelerates, stops and turns as it should. Transmission shifts smoothly. Starts on the first turn of the key and runs smoothly. Runs nice and cool with adequate coolant flow. The power steering is accurate and well weighted. There are no leaks of any kind. The exhaust looks liked it was replaced with an OEM unit fairly recently. With any car of this age, there are a few minor cosmetic problems. I have pointed out all of the blemishes and surface rust spots in the photos. The undercarriage is clean. Strut towers are relatively clean, although there is a small patch of surface rust by the tower. I have treated all the rust on the car (after taking photos) to prevent it from rusting more. Mechanically there are no issues. The air conditioning switch needs a relay/fuse to work but once that's done it should be all sorted. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this vehicle across the country.
