Up for auction is a rust free, low mileage, one owner CNG powered 1997 Ford Econoline E350 wheelchair van. This vehicle runs only on compressed natural gas. It has 70,394 original miles. The van was built by Ford Motor Company as a compressed natural gas vehicle as shown on the original window sticker. This wheelchair van comes equipped with a 5.4 liter EFI V8 engine, 4-speed automatic transmission, 4.10 rear axle, power front disc brakes, power steering, air conditioning, cruise control, tilt steering wheel, AM/FM stereo, driver/passenger side air bags and 4-wheel antilock brakes. The van’s wheelbase is 138” and the GVWR rating is 9,700 lbs. The van also has a raised roof, 800lbs capacity Ricon S-2003-S1000000 wheelchair lift, Q-Straint wheelchair tie downs, two folding seats and seats seven passengers. The van can accommodate two wheelchair riders. It runs and drives good and the overall vehicle condition is consistent with most 17-year old vehicles. A new radiator was just installed last week. The paint has some chips and scratches, and the body has some dents including a large dent on the right rear pillar of the van (see photos). The interior is clean and has no tears or rips in the upholstery. The tires and brakes are good and everything on the vehicle works. The two 3000 psi fuel tanks have July and August 2014 expiration dates. The van has a clear California title and just passed a California smog test inspection (inspection report included). The vehicle is sold without license plates. This vehicle is owned by a municipality and has always received regular preventive maintenance service and repairs. Included with the purchase are the original window sticker, owner’s manuals as well as service and repair records dating back to 1997. No other parts or accessories come with the vehicle. Scheduled viewings/inspections may be made upon request. Full payment is due within seven (7) days from close of auction. The vehicle will not be released until payment has been received and cleared.
