For sale: 2003 Land Rover Discovery SE Black on Black Excellent 4 x 4 Truck This auction is for a 2003 Land Rover Discovery. I purchased this truck on eBay in November 2009. It had about 95,000 miles on it at purchase. I am the third owner of this vehicle. It has never been driven by a smoker and has mostly been garage kept. I love this truck. I own a 2011 Range Rover Sport and a 2008 LR3 and this baby is the first truck I climb into on weekends. It drives like a truck not a sedan. The car is loaded with all power accessories including dual sunroof. The vehicle has coil suspension, not an airbag system. I put quite a some money into this truck over the past 4 ½ years including recent head gaskets and lifters, ABS kit (fixing three amigos problem), new water pump and new belts. This truck is not for the faint of heart. Why am I selling it? My daughter just returned from college and there's no room in the driveway! In addition, please note that this truck needs some attention. I am not a mechanic and highly recommend that this auction goes to someone that knows what they are doing. The truck has a common problem in that the engine ‘clicks’ when warm. The sound is only audible when idling. The ‘check engine’ light has been on for a few months and the truck recently seems sluggish. I was told it needs new plugs and a tune up. Please come and check out the truck. If you don’t know what you’re doing, bring someone that does. I brought 2 Discos on eBay and despite absolutely loving them, it is an addiction and a labor of love and money. I am paying for college and there's a lack of funds for ongoing repair! Cosmetically, the truck looks very good. Please check out the pictures taken with my iPhone. I see other listings noting bumper cracks but mine look good. The dual sunroof does not leak but the cloth is loose over the passenger seat (see pic). There are no major dents but a series of scratches are on hood (see pic). There is a tear in the back seat middle arm rest (see pic). Finally, the windshield was repaired due to a rock hit. It’s out of direct line of sight but off to right. Other stuff.... The tires are all in good shape. Brakes work fine. I replaced the factory radio with a Dual CD/HD Radio unit with remote. There is a Sirius satellite radio installed but recently deactivated. I will include the original radio if requested. The factory CD unit is under the passenger seat and functioning. Please note that this sale is final. Please do your homework BEFORE bidding on this car. If you aren’t familiar with Discos maybe these trucks aren’t for you. No returns / no regrets.
