Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on the Lakewood Fairgrounds (Georgia) General Lee. This General Lee was built by the same people that built the first five General Lee's for The Dukes of Hazzard. This whole story starts with Bob Shelley, owner of Bob Shelley's Special Effects International. Bob was part of Don Schisler's "local" Georgia Crew. They worked on Movies, Commercials, and multiple other productions that came to Georgia. Bob built pipe ramps, jump ramps, made things go boom, and could fabricate just about every and anything. Bob Shelley's shop used to be located at the Lakewood Fairgrounds, in Atlanta. Lakewood was owned by Ed Spivia and Bob rented out one of the lower floors of the familiar Lakewood buildings. Lakewood fairground is featured in both Smokey and The Bandit movies (the final scenes of the first Bandit movie and they blow up the roller coaster (at Lakewood) in the second movie. This car basically lived at the Lakewood Fairgrounds for years. This car was painted by the same people that painted the first five cars. This car had it's graphics applied by the same sign painter as the first five. This car is a rolling mess of a time capsule and it's been hidden, with crap piled on top of it, since 1991. What you see is what you get, this car needs everything and all of the parts are available through AMD. The wheels alone are a tad pricey (Mopar bolt pattern). Does have A/C and the A/C box is still under the dash. Does have a clean Indiana title and a copy of the previous title. You'll get all the paperwork we have on this car (including the un-doctored 1997 letter from the original owner). Both vent windows still have the Shelley's Special Effects sticker on them. Restore it if you like, stencil out the correct Georgia General Lee roof script, use it for parts?! Comes with the rear frame section it needs for the drivers rear (sitting in the trunk). The car is a pretty cool time capsule, we just don't have the time to restore it.
