This Suzuki GT550 is a bike with character and presence. I have never been on bike that turns as many heads as this one and that includes Harleys. The sound this bike makes is nearly unique on the road today. It is a two stroke 550cc triple cylinder. The bike starts and runs great. It is kick start only. It has a modern Electronic Ignition. It has been gone through and has an incredible amount of updates and modifications. Here is a list of all the things I can remember right now: The gauges have been rebuilt with new glass. The mileage shown is not original. The front forks are fitted with a Tarozzi fork brace. A custom fiberglass front fender has replaced the giant steel stocker. New fork seals were installed with new fork oil. The forks were re-valved. The front brake disk has been cross drilled for lightness and cooling and has high performance Vesrah brake pads. I have installed LED turn signals and brake light. The cylinder head was shaved .020. the current engine compression is 150-154-156 psi The previous owner claimed to have installed a new top end and I believe it. The cylinders have iridium spark plugs. The bike was fitted with a set of brand new JEMCO performance chambers. The chambers have been ceramic coated, never rust, look great. The carbs have UNI pod filters and new lines. They were also synchronized. An electronic ignition was installed and made this bike start so easy and run superb. The Chassis has a tapered steering head bearing upgrade and the swingarm has a roller bearing conversion. very tight. Stainless steel Hagon Shocks have been installed. It has a new rear brake light switch. The chainguard has been customized. All wiring was done with original style sleeved connectors. Custom fiberglass tail section with subframe is hinged for easy battery access. The bike has good tires and most of the original parts taken off are included like mirrors etc... I have many other spare bits that will be included also. The paint is not asgood as the pictures show. expect some small chipping on the tank.
