Vehicle Detail

1932 Ford 5-window coupe of Henry’s ‘real-deal’ steel! This can fulfill your dream, as it has mine for the past 20 years - - time for a new caretaker. It has been continuously registered, inspected, and occasionally driven for this period. Never trailered, this fun ‘driver’ has been from Texas to New York and back. Built as a 60s style hot rod to look like the “American Graffiti” star, it has a 350ci Chevy V8, a 5-speed manual transmission from a TransAm with a Hurst shifter, an Olds 10-bolt rear-end (3.73 posi gears) on coil springs, and a Pinto rack-and-pinion front end. To guide it home, it has a Gm tilt column and Camaro steering wheel. With no AC, no heater, no power steering, and no power brakes, this deuce is all go power and low/easy maintenance! It has two, 9-gallon fuel tanks, VDO gauges, light brown vinyl upholstery/headliner, a Carter AFB carb, GM HEI ignition, and a nice sounding and performing cam. The body has been expertly chopped 2 ½”, has a cool 5” channel, has been painted in dandelion yellow (Viper color), and sports some chips and cracks from good use. Only the trunk lid is ‘glas. The frame is a boxed/reinforced ’32 original. Sanderson side pipes are on it now, but it also comes with Flowmaster mufflers/tailpipes attached to opening caps. This is FUN with a capital F. Don’t miss out on this opportunity - - place your bid now! Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE On May-28-14 at 09:32:58 PDT, seller added the following information: There are only 2 bubbles in the paint that might indicate a rust spot and those are both only 1/4" in diameter. The cracks are in the filler used at the cab/body seam, on both sides and each of the two are about 2-3" in length and barely opened up (this 82 year old isn't as flexible as she used to be in Henry's romantic years!), and also at the rear lower end of the door openings (where channeled), and right rear fender well - - all in the filler. As for the undercarriage: it has two rectangular side tanks between the drive shaft and frame rails (2 vented fill necks in the trunk + equalizing hose); the drive shaft has a safety strap installed; the manual 5-speed is suspended in the back by a custom made, removable cross member I built for it; the rear end is located with ladder bars & uses coil springs behind the axle; the brand new battery is located in a box on the right frame rail with access via a plate in the passenger floor (heavy gauge steel); there are adjustable seat belts for driver and passenger; there is an emergency brake right next to the Hurst shifter. The horn button is under the dash (it's a hot rod!), the high beams are an old 'stomper' type, the stereo radio is under the passenger seat with a remote and speakers behind your head [but who plays music over a Chevy V8 unless you are park(ed)ing.]
