I purchased this car at a lien sale auction. I have too many projects so I'm going to move it along. I have all of the lien sale paperwork from DMV & the storage facility. The lien paperwork has the car incorrectly listed as 1963. Checking the vin through online vin sites confirms the car is in fact a 1966. The car is out of the DMV system per the lien sale paperwork. The car is an original California car. Built in California and still has both black & gold plates. The car has been in storage since the late 1990's. The car has been covered so it has had minimal exposure to the elements. There has been a bit of moisture inside which has caused the to be expected surface rust/pitting on the chrome pieces. The car was originally a white car, but was painted blue at some point in time. The only obvious damage I can find is the passenger side quarter panel. There is also some cracking bondo in front of the rear passenger side wheel. There is a very small amount of rust below the rear window. The rust in the trunk is surface rust. The decklid does not fit straight. There is no damage to the decklid. I think the driver's side hinge may be the culprit causing the decklid to not close. I have not attempted to start the car. The plug wires have been disconnected, but the previous owner took the time to mark each wire. The car is a factory 4 barrel, A/C, power windows, power brakes, and power steering.
