2 Top Silver Sweetheart 1974 Mercedes 450 SL Well Maintained - Excellent Driver This auction features a 1974 Mercedes 450 SL. Although flawless and pristine may not be appropriate, this car has been VERY WELL taken care of over its 40 years. The current owner for the past 7 years, kept this Silver Sweetheart in a climate controlled garage. The previous owner of around 6 years, who was reported to have purchased from the original owner, had also done the same. This car is ready to go with nothing you need to do except enjoy the breeze! The list of new replacement parts to keep this road trip ready is long. Jump in it and go. If one word could desribe it... Wow 1974 Mercedes Benz 450 SL Convertible, V8 automatic transmission, Immaculate condition both hard and soft top, Gorgeous shiney silver exterior and very clean, non-smoking super blue leather interior. The interior boasts the premium wood grain center console option. Nearly mint condition inside and out. It reads 140,000 Miles, but you would never guess that looking at it. Over the past 7 years to 14 years it was driven in the Summer only, garaged in winter. Recent service includes new rear pads, rotors, brake hose, a new fuel pump, and all fluids have been changed. It has the new style headlights, and the new tires have under 1,000 miles. Both tops are in great condition, the soft literally looks as though it has been used only a few times. The new owner will also get the hard top stand with the car, this is a replica of the expensive one some people buy. The AC currently needs a charge. What you can expect Plain and simple - This is a used car. Its not perfect, its not a 6,000 mile flawless car. There are a few minor blemishes likely here or there. Any prospective buyer should inspect this car. Its not "all original", it has apparently been painted in the 80's, no indication or reports of any accidents or a color change. There are 4 noted exterior blemishes; a 1" straight line ding that is hard to notice, a tiny chip on the high side of the left rear quarter, and 2 tiny chips on the right front fender. The only mentionable for the interior would be slightly soiled floor mat. This car is being sold begrudgingly by the owners to pay for other toys acquired. You can look around and find this particular vintage Mercedes for anywhere from $5,000 to $12,000, and the condition of those vehicles don't always match the price tag.
