Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 With over 600 views and more than 30 watchers, I have converted this to an auction format. There is no reserve- the highest bidder at the end wins both vehicles. For Sale: Two Mk. II Ford Cortinas- a 1967 two door sedan (really early) and a 1969 Station Wagon. Sold as a “package” only- I will not separate. Both cars are essentially stock and unmodified. I have an additional set (four) of original stock wheels and hubcaps which will be included. The sedan is an original black plate Southern California car. I am the second or third owner. The station wagon is a blue plate California car from the S.F. Bay area. I do not know its history. Both cars are equipped with 1600 Kent crossflow engines and automatic transmissions, front disc/rear drum brakes, McPherson strut front suspension and rear leaf springs. Both are “project” cars; they have been stored outdoors and will require work to make roadworthy (especially the station wagon). A good cleanup will make a big difference. The sedan “lot drove” when parked. I do not know the condition of the engine in the station wagon (the radiator is missing). There is some rust, but not severe or structural (RF fender lower corner, RHS sill, behind both rear wheel wells, under RHS vent in C pillar)- all are small areas. I may be able to help with patch panels. The rust by the trunk lip is on the surface. The glass is all good (except wagon RF door vent window), but the gaskets are crusty. A spare rear glass for the sedan is included. There aren’t any underhood photos of the station wagon because the hood latch is stuck. I have the trunk latch assembly for the sedan; I just need to install it. I believe that the sedan probably has had some body repair at the passenger’s side rear corner. I have a key for the sedan, none for the station wagon. If you are still reading this, then you probably know about these cars. They are getting difficult to find, especially station wagons. Parts availability is okay in the US and excellent on eBay.UK. Please note that both cars have European taillight lenses (amber turnsignals) - I added these. The sedan includes a GT dash top (needs recovering) with four gauges (see photo). The wagon still has the load area rubber pad (hard to find). Cortinas with automatic transmissions have larger transmission tunnels, allowing the installation of a larger engine and/or transmission package. These autos are in Sonoma County, Northern California, and are for sale locally. I reserve the right to terminate this listing at any time. Additional photos are available. The sedan has a clear California title in my name, and is on a planned non-op. I have an old California “pink slip” title for the station wagon, but I never put it in my name. I have tried to honestly present these autos. These could be great projects for the right person. The sedan might be the basis of an inexpensive race car. My loss is your gain- I have several other projects underway at present, and these need a good home.
