Our Current ListingsAbout CABS Classics 1988 Mustang GT Convertible What You Need to Know I'm proud to offer for your consideration this Foxbody 1988 Mustang GT Convertible. (36 more pictures and a video of car below, be sure to listen to this Mustang run with all new exhaust) This car is my personal car, not a clients. I bought it last year and have spent the last several months fixing it up. The car features a 3" Cowl hood with hood pins, Saleen rear spoiler, and Trick-flow intake. The BBK fender mounted CAI has a new non-MAF adapter and new silicon couplers. The car has a Grant Challenger Series GT steering wheel. I also replaced the nearly 3 ft long eye sore Ford called an antenna with a much sportier 14 inch one. The convertible top looks great and works great. It has brand new hydraulic pumps and lines. I've found no rust on this vehicle and I've been all over it. While there were a lot of Foxbody Mustangs made in 1988 only 32,076 were convertibles. This one is a real GT with P45 in the VIN number and 66B on trim plate to verify it. The original color was scarlet red, now oxford white. This Mustang has many new parts, including all new exhaust. There is a small leak at the power steering that I believe is coming from the gear inlet hose not the pump. The paint isn't perfect, the most notable issues are on the drivers side rocker panel where you can see some cracks in the paint. There's also a crack in the windshield. It shouldn't keep you from passing inspection though. The back seat is discolored on the passenger side. This was caused by repeatedly opening and closing the convertible top manually with a leaking hydraulic pump by the previous owner. All the gauges work with the exception of the temp gauge, which sometimes works but other times is maxed out on the high side when you start the car and stays there. The car does throw a couple codes when hooked to the code reader. Both can be traced to a clogged crossover tube, which can be fixed with no money if you take the one off the car and clean it out. New ones are also easy to find. I prefer that you use eBay to ask general questions about the car so I can share the answer with other bidders.
