This is a special 1955 Chevrolet BelAir 150/210 which has been restored, updated and rebuilt to be a special Drag Racing show model which has never been raced. Originally from Florida, this unique Belair is a potential champion of its type. No expense has been spared, both in the mechanics as well as the cosmetics to bring this automobile to fruition. Whenever this car is shown the audience always flocks to this car. Minimally driven, accident free, always garaged, never seen inclement weather. Whenever this car is shown it is transported properly in an enclosed car trailer. Exterior: Show detailed. Frame and undercarriage are straight and rust free. Frame has been cut, notched and narrowed to accept the over sized rear tires. Body panels are straight with minimal plastic used. Body has excellent luster and the custom repaint using today's two stage paint technology featuring airbrushed flames is better than the original OEM quality. The hood has been customized to accept the exterior fitted velocity stacks. The fit of the doors, hood and trunk lid up to standard. As a potential Drag racer, the glass has been replaced with Lexan for safety reasons. The chrome bumpers along with all the trim is in superior restored condition. The trim has been dulled a part of the drag car mystique. Trunk area customized to accept the over sized rear wheels and tires.Trunk compartment includes battery, fuel cell, and custom tool kit installed. Tires & Wheels: Mickey Thompson radials (31x18.5x15 rear) & (26x7.50x15 front) These are mounted on Weld chrome mag wheels with Crager center caps. Mechanics: In superior upgraded condition including rebuilt 396 CID V-8 which has been converted to a 402 CID V-8 purported to deliver 600 HP. Holley 600 CFM 4 BBl Carburetor. 4 Speed standard transmission updated to compliment the high powered V-8. Ceramic coated headers coupled with dual Flowmaster mufflers is the balanced exhaust system. Engine Compartment: Professionally detailed and updated to better than new standards. Extras includes a judicious use of chrome to add to the styling. As a true drag car, there are no inner fender wells and no hood springs installed to lessen the weight when drag racing. Suspension, Brakes, Electrical all completely restored and updated to high performance standards. Front end stock & tight. Manual brakes and steering precise. 4 wheel disc brakes installed. Rear suspension includes coil over shock absorbers. Ford 9" rear end fitted to guarantee a balanced ride at speed. Interior: Totally restored and updated including Jaz Racing bucket seats with RCI racing harnesses. Full roll cage. Teal painted metal dash includes original gauges coupled with multiple optional gauges including a tachometer to monitor all systems more accurately. Custom fitted Hurst shifter center floor mounted.
