PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO READ THIS AD FULLY!!!!!!! *****LOW RESERVE****** Evil,Wicked, Mean and just plain Nasty This a for a very solid and very Fast RARE 1973 Ford Gran Torino Sport Fastback "Q"code with a factory 4 speed toploader trans and front power disc brakes.This car is very solid and straight.It has a Beast of a drivetrain in it.The guy I bought the car from was building a street rod out of it.The car is strong running and less than 1000 miles on the engine and drivetrain parts.It was built in 2004 and stored from 2006 until 2014 in a garage.The car is a low milage car with the original owner manual and some original ford brochures.The car was built in Atlanta and has been within 200 miles of Atlanta since new.The body is very straight and for the most part rust free.There are a few very small rust pimples in a couple of small spots.See photos.The roof had some rust that was cut out on the roof skin and replaced with new metal but needs to be finished before a New vinyl top can be installed.There was NO rust around the glass.The channels are excellent.The passenger side floor pan was replaced with new metal years back.The trunk pan is like new as is the rest of the body panels.The doors open and shut like new and are solid.The front fenders,hood,trunk lid,doors and Quarters are solid and straight.The rockers and frame are solid and rust free.I have all the parts for the car including all the glass with the exception of the front windshield which can be bought from any glass co for under 200.00.I have all the interior pieces with the exception of the headlinner and carpet.I have the original back seat(needs recovering)and the front seats are leather ones from a 2001 Escape plus I have the leather seating surface off the escape to use on the factory rear set to match.The drivers seat is power and works.The car just needs finishing cosmeticaly.The drivetrain is Excellent and will be described below in detail.The drivetrain has less than 1000 miles on it.It does run and drive as it sits but will need to be transported due to the obvious.It will drive upon a transport truck or your trailer with no problems.The front suspension is very tight and the car drives good.The steering is tight with no play.There is WAY more money in the drivetrain alone than my reserve price. Here is a list of whats under the hood. Eventhough this is a Factory 351 car,the 73 smog motor was replaced with a very rare 70 Mustang 351 Cleveland Cobra Jet 4 bolt main engine. The engine was bored 30 over .030 ****Short block*** 9qt deep sump Millodon oil pan Fully balanced bottom end done by local ga machine shop to near perfection Full set of Speed pro Flat top pistons Chrome molly Rod bolts New main,rod and cam bearings Double roller timing chain. Comp cams Solid lift cam,very aggressive. Manley high volume high pressure oil pump and chrome molly drive shaft All new Gaskets and brass freeze plugs and misc. ****Heads*** True 4 Barrel closed chamber 351 Cleveland heads.These have been modified with screw in studs and guide plates for the solid cam and roller rocker arms Full 3 angle valve job with hardend seats New high performace stainless steel valves Chrome molly push rods High performance double valve springs rated for the camshaft lift. Set of Crane cams energizer aluminum roller rocker arms Bronze valve guides. 9.5 comp ratio set up right now to run on 92+ pump gas ****Fuel system*** Edelbrock single plenum high performance manifold Barry Grant Demon 850cfm Carb Large diameter aluminum fuel line from front to rear with pressure regulater The factory fuel tank has been sumped and has a Fram dual line Fuel filter with a Holley high volume electric pump Aluminum under drive deep v pulleys and a recored heavy duty radiator ***Ignition system and electrical*** Rear trunk mounted battery Complete Malory High performance ignition system Mallory Unilite Distributor Mallory Pro master coil Mallory HyFire VIIs ignition control box with dual revlimiter and ingnition control function for added systems such as Nitrous if you wanted to add it. ***Exhaust**** Large diameter Hooker Competion headers 3" exhaust with Magnaflow muffler with dumps in front of the rear axle ***Transmission**** 1970 Ford toploader close ratio 4 speed with the correct linkage and original Hurst shifter. Center Force duel friction clutch and lightened flywheel Rear end; 9" ford traction lock with 3:90 richmond gears and a Drive shaft safety loop ***Brakes*** Factory power front disc with new pads and new rear shoes along with new master cylinder ***Tire and wheels*** Real vintage polished CENTER LINES in excellent shape 10" rear and 8 " fronts with 295 50 15 rear BFG and 235 60 15 front BFG. Tires need replacing due to dryrot Overall this is a heck of a car for the money.The dash is in very good shape and all the gauges work.All the wirring is still intact and nothing has been cut up or butchered.Even the back up lights and wipers work.I do not have the under hood A/C components.I have ALL the exterior trim ,interior trim and glass for the car.I can only post 24 photos but I have plenty of extras if there is something you want to see.I bought this to make a Pro touring car out of,but my priorities have changed in the last couple of weeks due to health issues.
