Vehicle Detail

The car is in excellent driver condition. I bought it as a fairly presentable, completely rust free good driver that has always had at least reasonable care and maintainance. I of course went overboard with spending and restoration. Getting bored since retirement. Iv'e owned for about 4 years. I have many receipts and pictures from over the past few years. This car does not have and has never had any rust. There has never been any wreck or damage to the sheet metal, other than minor parking lot dings and scrapes properly repaired with new paint. One recent repaint over the original paint in 2013. Trunk and floor look fantastic and are not repaired, nothing hidden. The frame and undercarriage are clean and solid, original un restored. All stainless trim, moldings, emblems, and bumpers are in excellent condition. Original numbers matching drive train. Never a vinyl top. The new paint was done properly and looks very nice no dents or dings. The body was fully dissasembled, stripped to metal- cleaned and prepped- 2k epoxy primer, high build and block, single stage acrylic. I took no short cuts. I have pictures and receipts. Careful reassembly, getting the body gaps very nice. Has an initial cut and buff, looks very presentable as is, but has plenty of paint thickness for new owner to fine tune. I did the motor and transmission in 2013, a proper, complete stock spec. rebuild, new pistons, bearings, 068 cam, ect. I cut no corners and used all good quality parts and materials. Heads are #62--new valves-retainers and keepers. 3 angle valve grind. Magnafluxed everything. Motor is xh 350 horse 400, and th400 transmission are numbers matching and original to the car. I have all receipts and many pics. Motor and trans. run perfectly, very crisp and clean with no leaks, odd noises or issues. I replaced everything in the way of hoses, belts ect. that was not perfect. New feul pump, water pump, pertronix electronic ignition in stock distributer. Bucket seats and console with new upolstry, air conditioning, tilt wheel, Black interior with power windows. New carpet- headliner package tray, and all new rubber weatherstrips and seals, doors, trunk, windows, ect. New tinted-antenna windshield. F & R glass resealed on perfect sills, never any rust. Door panels are in excellent condition, no cracks, as is the dash. I pulled the window mechanisms and cleaned, lubed replaced rollers. The power windows work like new. New door hinge pins and bushings. All body gaps are straight and correct. The electrical system is in excellent un butchered condition. New heat control cable. New suspention and steering parts-anything that was worn. Very good tight driver. Disc brakes are about 75%. Again-no leaks- noises or issues. The exhaust system is solid and quiet, but old- I have a new exhaust system 2 1/2" mandrel bent aluminized pipe with mufflers in the box-not installed- to go with. Everything works except the air conditioning was working until the compressor clutch bearing seized recently. The compressor is fine, just the clutch bearing and conversion to r 134. Has new dryer receiver and the rest of the components are all very good and functioning properly. I may repair this sometime this week if I get the time. The main value in this car as I see it is the rust free, straight metal body and undercarriage--the new original motor and trans. with receipts, great black bucket seat-console shift interior, nice options, and the factory all black paint. Feel free to call and ask questions if you are interested. I have tried to be as accurate, inclusive and honest as I can. I will require a $1,000 down payment when the add ends, and the remainder within a week. Of course all funds must clear before you get the car. This is the first car I've ever sold on ebay, so we'll see how she goes. I do not expect to get GTO money out of this car, just a reasonable amount reflecting the condition of the car. Believe it or not, my fun was in doing the work, not owning the car, so time to move on. My reserve will be both reasonable and confidential. . 360-353-5645. between 10-am-pm Pacific time. I sounds reasonable to me, so in addition I've lowered my reserve to $8200.00. Hope this is helpful to those who are bidding or are considering it. I just hope people don't think the cheap price is a reflection of condition. such are the times. Thanks, Mike.
