Vehicle Detail
1992 Toyota Corolla 4 dr Sedan, 76,877 original miles 1.6L 1587CC l4 GAS DOHC Naturally Aspirated front wheel drive.I am the second owner. I bought this from the original owner with 62,789 in 11/2012. The car was hit while parked in my driveway by a car that lost control. He saw the car last minute and swerved to avoid but grazed the side causing the front passenger side fender and some scratches in the paint down the right side (see photos). The fender can be bought for between $75 and $100 in stock color and less for primed aftermarket. I already looked it up and found the part. There was no frame damage at all and did not affect drive ability at all.The drivers insurance estimated to fix the fender and trim piece and paint to be too high compared to value for the age of the car so they declared it a total loss. The body shop told me there was no frame damage at all and there was no reason not to keep it and repair cosmetics if I decided to based upon the condition of the car.He said I could get all the parts to fix it myself for $300-400. I kept it and have been driving it since without any issues at all.I was going to buy the fender and repair it before selling it but I felt it would be better to see the actual damage to the car than to hide it with new parts and read a report saying it was a total loss and not knowing the extent of the damage. The car is automatic and the transmission was serviced/ flushed at a transmission shop and is 100% flawless. It has power steering, power brakes, absolutely freezing air conditioning, and great heat, Tires have 10,000 miles on them, oil change and coolant flush, new thermostat and lower radiator hose, all new bulbs in all exterior lights this week. Has a new battery, starter and alternator and spark plugs, wires and distributor cap. The car gets 30mpg costs $35 to fill up and runs awesome.Commute all week on one tank of gas! Great first car or College transportation! These cars are almost impossible to find with this low mileage and when properly cared for last to 200k + miles easily. Most of these offered have 150k + miles on them. I see these corollas all the time with 150k selling for 15-1800 that are no where near this clean.I priced at the low end of what NADA value said...I am willing to hear reasonable offers. I took this posting down yesterday when I saw that the ebay autocheck report had a lot of the facts completely wrong and details of the accident backwards.some of which contradicts what I wrote in the description which is the facts.I sent them two emails asking them to review it. 1. They show the car having 114,000 miles in 6/2013 which was one of the comparable high mileage corollas they used in the insurance report that they used for the loss value its not my car.the title shows the mileage when I bought it with 62,789 and the photo i posted shows that in the 1 1/2 years that I have driven it i put 14,088 on it for a total of 76877. I am still driving it locally hear and there so it may be slightly higher at time of sale. 2. The insurance company did not dispose of the vehicle, They asked me if I wanted them to dispose of it or keep it and I kept the vehicle. The damage to the vehicle is as you see it.it was hit in my driveway at 2 am and I drove it to work at 6 am immediately following the accident and have been driving it ever since. 3. Their report shows that my car struck a parked vehicle, however it was a minivan that lost control and ran into my driveway and struck my car which was parked. The minivan hit my stone wall in front and a tree it just caught the front corner of the car. the wall took most of the impact. If the corolla was a 2014 it would not have been declared a loss they would have replaced the panel, trim and painted the scratches, it was because it is a 1992. 4. His minivan was destroyed and towed away from my driveway,"my car was never towed!" I drove it to work in the morning and have been driving it ever since as is. I went to NJ Division of motor vehicles today 4/21/2014 with my original title and had them look it up in the computer to be sure that there are no issues that I am unaware of and it shows the same as the original title when I bought it "clear" Any questions just ask I have absolutely nothing to hide.come look over the car, drive it you will not be disappointed!Thank you for looking <><
