This first-year CB400F is near-immaculate and has gone through a frame-up stunning restoration. Low VIN (6,60X) from the first year of production. Except for parts like tires, battery, etc, virtually everything is either original or NOS. Battery new in 2013. Original sealed-beam headlight replaced with serviceable Halogen bulb unit from Candlepower. Has a daylight-sensing headlight modulator installed. Original owner's manual and brand new correct tool-kit from David Silver Spares in the U.K. Original mirrors, while present are not currently on the bike but come with it, as pictured. Run, idles, drives, shifts perfect. All engine, suspension and brake components as well as lights and indicator lights are in perfect working order. Electric starter works as does kick-start. As you can see, all chrome is in excellent condition. The seat has zero tears; side-covers are perfect with no cracks and all decals are present, correct and in the proper location. I have owned this bike 7 years and it is always garaged and maintained. This 1975 has all the first-year sought-after features - such as the correct flat handlebars and the non-locking gas cap (both things Honda changed later in 1975, '76 and '77 models). I've seen equally pristine 1977 models, which are usually less desirable, go for for over $4,500 and very nice 1975's sell at auction for $6,500, which after buyer fees totaled over $7K.
