Vehicle Detail

This auction is for a 1972 Triumph Trident frame and engine. Engine has a complete professionally built top end including new .020" over pistons and valve job. Only British gaskets used in all my builds. Cylinder bored at Dave's Machining in Randolph, OH. and are true center cut bores. .01 honed by me. Valves reseated and lapped in by hand. Zero valve leaks. Center plug hole was stripped as in alot of three cylinder British engines. I used a Time-Sert insert which is alot better than the Heli-Coil. Carbs have been "walnut shelled" and will need diassembled and cleaned. I would suggest Amal rebuild kits. I will order the kits and install after sale if buyer wishes and we agree on price. Carbs like engine only have 6,755 miles on them. Frame is straight and true. Since this was bought for a three wheeler project than fell through the swingarm tabs are cut from frame. A rear hardtail section is available for this frame as well as a "plunger" type rear section. Only front section of frame (with vin number) is with this sale. Only items pictured are part of this auction. Other items may be available but only to buyer at a nominal price after auction. Engine will need a primary cover and gearbox cover as well as kick start and shifter parts. Timing cover has been placed on for picture. There are all the timing gears but they will need installed as well as stator and rotor. Primary chain ramp assemby will be needed. I may find some of these items prior to buyer picking up project...if so..I will include at no charge. Last picture shows parts included in sale. Not in picture but included also is the intake cam gear and the two cam gear nuts. I also have disc brake setup from this bike as well as triple tree assembly. I will discuss other items with winner of auction and sell the remaining project items at a nominal price as they were part of project. I didn't want to clutter up this sale with alot of misc. items from the Trident. Cams were excellent in this engine. Since bike only had 6,755 miles the removed pistons are good enough that after cleaning I will be listing them on eBay. Project Trident is in Youngstown, OH...midway between Pittsburgh and Cleveland. I will hold the bike up to 90 days for buyer to make arrangements for picking up or having shipped as long as payment directions are followed. Immediate PayPal payment required on total immediately after sale. This is a 5 day auction only. Please see the 1973 Triumph 750 Tiger 5 speed I also hove listed at this time. Thanks and please email with any questions. On Apr-16-14 at 22:09:13 PDT, seller added the following information: I didn't mention it but engine is as clean underneath as rest of engine including in sprocket pocket. Also engine sprocket seal on transmission side does not leak. In fact there were no leaks at all. Engine sat on a piece of cardboard in the shop and engine had oil in it and there was no oil on cardboard. On Apr-18-14 at 12:14:20 PDT, seller added the following information: This was originally a 5 day auction started of Tuesday. It was listed as so. Was supposed to end on Sunday but typical eBay "errors" it somehow kicked into a 7 day auction. I think , at some point, I revised it and it went to default 7 day somehow and then got a bid that froze it on 7 days. Anyhow just wanted to explain since ad says 5 days only.On Apr-18-14 at 22:27:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention...I have all three British made side cover gaskets...all new. Timing, gearbox, and primary as well as both seals that should be replaced in covers.
