Vehicle Detail
1935 Chevrolet "Master Coupe" 1st of the New Body Style. In 1935 a Standard Coupe, and a Master Coupe were offered. It was Chevrolet's only original Suicide door car made. This car was purchased in California in the mid 80's. It was complete, minus the engine, and transmission. The last time it had been registered was in the late 50's. (It was a barn find.) The barn was falling over, but faced away from the nearest road, so no one could see it, but Ron knew it was there. The car was completed in 2006. It underwent a full frame off restoration. The body is all steel except the fenders which are fiberglass. It was completely striped, and painted in PPG Concept Monarch Orange with /clear coat. Originally the car had a wood inner structure, but it was replaced with steel. The doors were completely rebuilt by a cabinet maker in oak, then re-enforced with steel. Hidden hinges, powered vent, and shaved doors, with remote solenoid openers, were added. Modifications include: Modified hood, and grille shell, slight channeling over frame, modified head lights (Neon), rear cutout for exhaust, removal of door & trunk handles, recedes license plate, flush mount tail lights, V-butted windshield, tinted glass, wing windows removed, and complete new floor boards. A complete custom Buckskin leather interior, custom dash, door panels, package tray, and headliner were added. Pioneer Stereo, amp, speakers, w/sub's. Billet window cranks, Stewart Warner gauges, tilt wheel, glove box, sound barrier throughout, with custom fitted carpeting including finished trunk. Mechanically the car has had many changes. The frame has been boxed for strength, metal finished, and powder coated. Mustang II front suspension, and all new bushings. Rack & pinion steering, Alden coil overs in the rear, custom aluminum fuel tank, 3 inch exhaust from headers, 1957 Pont or Olds, Safety track (posi) rear-end with 3.55 gears, and dura-blue axles. 11" rear brakes with power disc brakes on the front. The engines a 427 cu in, with oval port aluminum heads, polished strip dominate intake, high capacity oil pan, hooker headers, and Holley dp carb, The transmission is a Heavy Duty Turbo 400 automatic. This Little coupe was a feature car in our 2013 Hot August Nights show, and it is one well built car. It runs strong, drives great, fit & finish is superb, and it needs nothing. (One cool ride.) Buyer is responsible for shipping and all shipping coats. We will help with loading on our end, and in anyway we can. I'm listing this fine car for a friend, and we reserve the right to end this auction at anytime. For questions please call Bill (208)750-0000
