FOR SALE 1966 MUSTANG ..recently acquired from original owner, the mustang was very well maintained for many years..last on the road in 2010..master cylinder went out and the car has been sitting since then. The mileage is 72k and is original.The only accident was a slight tap in the middle of the rear bumper(see pic)The original 200 straight 6 runs good , ..installed new battery ..a rebuilt carb..new alternator and fan belt…started right up with no smoke or noise..ran the motor with external gas can as the gas tank is missing. A new gas tank with sender.. hose… clamps..etc.. is priced at around $139. Needs a master cylinder ..and those are readily available for around 40 bucks. Floor pans are also cheap and easy to find, and if your planning to restore it will need them. Doors close well with even gaps and the suspension seems nice and tight.All the window glass is good. One could throw some brakes in it and a gas tank and drive it ..OR go for a total restoration..that will be up to the new owner.The interior is in very good condition..although the headliner needs replacing ,it comes with a new never installed headliner. the dash pad is cracked..(those are readily avail also). Kenwood radio cassette plays good with pioneer 6x9's in the rear. The horn works as do the lights.. turn signals.. interior lights and heater blower.All in all a very complete original car that can be restored and enjoyed for many years. Pictures tell the story of the rust repair needed..the top and top of the hood and trunk has peeling of clear coat..again it will need rust repair and paint if restoring.Although 2 of the tires are new..tires should be replaced. Also included are some new rubber pieces still in the Ford packaging , and some other misc. parts There is also a spare tire.The car will sell with no reserve,and has a New York transferable registration ( New York does not issue titles for older vehicles) .
