Even more impossible to find, is an example in excellent condition inside/out, mechanically solid, low-mileage and equipped with SMG, navigation/ reverse sensors, carbon fiber interior, and premium no-nonsense performance mods! It is a standout amongst most of the pedestrian e46 M3's being offered for sale, likely one of nicest currently being listed in the country. Sure, you'll find cheaper ones, but this is case of "you get what you pay for". Factor in the cost of 19" HRE's, Stoptech big brakes and Bilstein coil overs (see list below for the comprehensive list of mods) + shipping, labor, downtime and you'll easily realize that this is a bargain! This is not a fixer upper. It only needs a new owner and it is ready to drive! Owned by 3 mature enthusiasts, this M3 has been well loved, garaged, and enjoyed on nice days. According to the second owner, the first owner was a city dweller, leased it and hardly drove it. The second owner is female, her husband is a BMW tuner/ proprietor of Custom Performance- which designs & fabricates aftermarket performance parts specifically for BMW's. Aside from the M3 being her weekend driver, her husband used it as a "rolling showroom" for his company. I am the third owner. After recently selling my NSX here on eBay, I had an itch for an M3- it's been on my shortlist of cars to own. As fate would have it, shortly after finding this perfect M3, I came across an opportunity to buy a mint, all original e30 M3! It was a deal I just could not pass up. If you know anything about BMW's, you'll understand why. This is my only reason for selling this awesome e46 M3 after such a short ownership! Onto the car itself. Clean title, EVERYTHING works, no leaks, issues or surprises, maintenance is up to date (but the 60K service is due shortly). Maintained by BMW of Arlington (VA) and Custom Performance all of its life, this M3 is mechanically solid (10/10) and drives true & strong. Hopefully you are familiar with/ or have researched the SMG (Sequential Manual) transmission. The gist is that SMG in AUTO mode essentially shifts AS IF it is a manual, but without the action of having to engage a clutch (yourself). That said, it will behave like a manual. For example- the car will shutter if you are crawling to a stop from a high gear (and it hasn't quite downshifted to 1st yet). It will even blip the throttle to match revs on downshifts! All of this is NORMAL. Rest assured, while SMG is a little quirky at first, it is state-of-the-art. After all, it is built by Magneti Marelli, manufacturer of Ferrari's F1 transmission. In MANUAL mode (paddle shift/ stick) it's a dream to drive- the shifts are crisp, precise, flawless, faster and more efficient than a human. Cosmetically, the interior is 9/10. The leather, dash, center console all look amazing! The exterior is 8/10- no dents or dings, but there are 3 hairline scratches on the driver's side front & rear fenders (from previous owner). There are tiny rock chips as to be expected to the front fascia from normal highway driving. Overall, the paint is clean, shiny and looks fresh. There is a rock chip the size of a small marble on the lip of the driver's rear rim. All other lips are clean, but could use a polish. The adhesive on the driver's door weather stripping is lifting a bit, no big deal. This M3 had a factory front license plate bracket. I removed it, leaving two small holes in the bumper now covered w/ white plastic caps- looks clean. The trunk is clean, but the carpet does have some soiling. There really isn't anything else to report, so I'm just being nit picky. The engine bay looks brand new! For all intents and purposes this M3 is in excellent condition. All that will be needed in the near future is the 60K service (inspection II), tires are @ half-life. Included are 2 keys, all manuals, a service manual (Bentley Publishing), orig. window sticker.That said, it is a used 2004 model, so don't expect a brand new car. I have done my best to disclose everything I know about this vehicle. The sale is AS-IS and FINAL. My feedback (selling pricey things, not junk) here on eBay speaks for itself and my integrity.
