Vehicle Detail
This car has a very unique trim with leather, wood, and stainless steel, rear wing, factory xenon headlights, the center console matching the exterior dark blue metallic etc etc. You will not find another Boxster like this. The car is loaded with options. I ordered the certificate of authenticity from Porsche which lists most of them (see below). The list of optional equipment codes on the label of under the hood is seven rows long (see pic)! MSRP was $72K back in 1999. As you can see on the dealer pics i uploaded here along with mine, the car had just under 60K miles on it when i bought it. I had the 60K service done, new battery, new A/C compressor, new wheelcaps with color logos, new wheel bolts, wind deflector and mesh grills (you can see they are missing on the dealer pics), had the safety belt assembly replaced (the old ones were sticking occasionally), new wipers, etc. Basically i had everything that needed fixing or replaced done. I also had the cd changer that's located in the front trunk disconnected, so that a 3.5mm jack could be mounted on the dash to plug in an mp3 player or an phone. there is a single cd slot in the dash and the cd changer can easily be reconnected, if you prefer CDs. There is a nickel sized paint chip just below the rear wing that was touched up by the previous owner. The car handles great, sounds gnarly, and gets looks. I bought it from Fidelity Motors, a dealership here in Chicago, in January of 2013 for 12K plus 2K in dealer fees and taxes (you can pull up dealer listing here for some additional pics w, w, w. ecarlist.com/cgi-bin/showroom.cgi?mode=show&id=6078498&d_id=2240, you should also be able to google the VIN (WP0CA2987XU626985) and find it that way). Including the purchase price, I've put in north of 20 grand into this car. it is a blast to drive. I'm selling because last summer i bought a 68 pontiac firebird convertible and mostly drive that or ride my bikes when it's convertible kind of weather. so my garage is now packed and the boxster barely got touched. I've only just over 1000 miles on it since Jan 2013. I just had the A/C compressor replaced at Manfred's Import Auto in Cary, IL, so i asked them to make sure everything works and they confirmed that everything checked out. See their report card in the pics. There's a lot of life left on both the tires and the brakes. I tried to be comprehensive in my description, if you have questions please shoot me a message, you can also send your phone number if you'd like to talk live. Thanks for looking.
