100% original 1984 Gyro. This is the first year of the Gyro and the hardest to find in original condition. This one has both "options", the front basket and the rear cargo container. Front basket is typical of most, plastic coating peeling from the metal of the basket. Rear container is in perfect condition. Plastics are in WAY above average condition. 2 cracks that I've pictured, they are parallel on the front wind deflector/leg protector area. No other cracking or major damage. Scuffs here and there as you'd expect for something that's 30 years old and tends to get parked in tight places in the garage. Mechanically it is perfect. Turn the key, pull the rear brake, hit the start button and 2 seconds later it's purring and you're ready to roll. Oil injection works great, brakes work great. Rides as good as new. It currently has around 717 miles on it, I do ride it occasionally so it might have a few more miles by the end of the auction. Tires are dry rotted, not worn very much but I would hesitate to take it on a cross country scooter trip. :) Overall, a GREAT example of the GYRO. Not 100% perfect, but they never are. All the good stuff is here and it gets more attention than anything I've ever owned. I've started a collection of vintage 2 stroke street bikes and it's just taking up space and not being used so it needs a new home. Buyer responsible for shipping costs.
