I’m a vintage motorcycle dealer already for 35 years, but this is for the first time that I had or have seen one like this.For this reason I’m pretty sure that this is currently one of the strangest bikes on eBay.. The Gold Lion was a small Belgian manufacturer of bicycles, mopeds and light motorcycles that was based in Antwerp. After WWII there was in Europe a strong demand for cheap motorization, where the bike like offered clearly demonstrates what manufacturers did to make such possible. This really neat bike is good fun, attracts a lot of attention and is because of all the original nice details and condition where it is in just a pleasure to look at. It is in full working condition, starts instantly and is running & riding really well. It has the legendary 38cc Mosquito* Type A engine fitted; * http://www.mopedarmy.com/photos/brand/231/3273/ and when the engine is disengaged (by moving the engagement-lever, the drive-roll goes off the rear tire by this) it can be used as a normal tandem (or even be ridden by a single person). This bike has never been road-registered (though the original 1948 Antwerp tax-plate is still with it) and comes an official bill of sale from my company here in Belgium, an official European Certificate of Origin which states the make, displacement, VIN & all other relevant specifications, plus I’ll make sure that all the correct export-paperwork will be in place before the bike leaves from here, which documents will make the process of importing it into the US an easy ride. -On this listing I'm offering a special (fully sealed) m'cycle crate, careful packing and physical shipping from here in Belgium to a warehouse of the shipping-company as close as possible to you at my expense.
