Vehicle Detail
Because of a not paying earlier buyer, again the opportunity to buy this great piece of history! This sleeping beauty is because of all the nice details and condition just a pleasure to look at, as it’s still in the same brittle appearance as when found. Today it is very hard to source motorcycles of this era that are not restored and still completely original. This machine has been untouched for more than half a century and for sure it was a nice and straight machine when it was put aside back then. Both tires look like they basically haven’t been on the road, though are VERY OLD and in an amazing condition! The gearbox shifts light and precise, and when pushing the bike around things are feeling amazing smooth, as the wheels are rolling great and the headstock-bearings are feeling remarkably solid. The engine doesn’t turn but don’t think this is something really disturbing, as to my idea this machine shouldn’t be restored and would do great on display as is (for instance standing in an old-fashioned workshop, hanging against the wall, or on events etc.). Like can be seen on the images the bike is rusted/corroded, but has no holes rusted through and is for sure serious in every respect! It was last road-registered in the year 1948 and the original French title of back then is still with it. Furthermore the previous owner handed me a 1934 photo that shows the original owner sitting on the back. The San-Sou-Pap name stands for ’without any valves’, which French company produced mainly high quality sports bikes in fairly small numbers during the period 1923-1936. Back in the days this make was known for many racing-victories and succeeded many times in races like the Bol d’Or, Paris-Les Pyrénées-Paris, Six Jours d’Hiver and many other racing events.Attached I have put a couple of images of San-Sou-Pap bikes on the racing-track (which images have nothing to do with the actual bike that is listed). I will provide the buyer an official bill of sale from my company here in Belgium, an official European Certificate of Origin which states the make, displacement, VIN & all other relevant specifications, plus I’ll make sure that all the correct export-paperwork will be in place before the bike leaves from here, which documents will make the process of importing it into the US an easy ride. -On this listing I'm offering a special (fully sealed) m'cycle crate, careful packing and physical shipping from here in Belgium to a US warehouse of the shipping-company as close as possible to you at my expense. Please note; In case the bike needs to be shipped to another destination than the US, please ask whether I can offer you such a deal as well before placing a bid. Furthermore, when you want to receive some better photo’s of the bike/shipping, or want to recieve more information about this item, just let me know. And as a little final note and message to the previous buyer!!, please ″DON’T ROLL THE DICE WHEN YOU CAN’T PAY THE PRICE” -Additional information to this listing; Like can be seen, the bike has after 87 years traces of use and age (patina). I only offer shipping by sea, where of course we can advise you on forehand about the process of importing the machine into your country. Like can be read in the link, this antique bike is because of its age and displacement exempt from US import-duty and EPA regulations; https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/278/~/importing-classic-or-antique-vehicles-%2F-cars-for-personal-use The crate will safely sail in a sealed container and the shipment is fully insured for eventual damage/loss. The free shipping offer is only for US (North America) mainland destinations. When you live in another country and want to find out whether this offer would also be possible for you, please ask before bidding.
