GaugeDescription Just out of storage and donated to a local charity, this 1931 Ford Model A sedan is an older restoration that is eager to be put back on the road. Not really a show car, but still very nice. This car looks and runs good, but will need some minor work before it returns to service. The paint looks good but not perfect which is very accurate for the time period. It appears to be authentic laquer and there is some minor grit as well as orange peel in areas. It should polish up well, and will look very authentic. All plating looks good, but the hubcaps are pitted and may need to be replated or replaced. Unfortunately the spare has a wheel lock on it and the key broke off inside the lock. (you may want to have that drilled out before your next flat tire) Inside, the upholstery and carpet look great with only some minor seat spring wear to the drivers seat. All controls seem to work with the exception of the wiper motor. The horn button has also been relocated to the side of the steering column. Mechanically it runs and drives but has a leak in the lower tank of the radiator and will not hold water so it can only be moved short distances until repaired. A nice old Model A sedan that was restored several years ago and used sparingly. Once the radiator is repaired, it should make a solid tour or parade car.
