I have a 1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle that I purchased for my daughter as her first car. After the purchase, we decided that she needs an automatic. This Volkswagen is in fantastic shape for its age. The motor, I was told, is a 1600 CC that was just rebuilt with under 100 miles on it, including many new parts(Alternator, etcetera). But since I don't know much about Volkswagens, I am unsure. I was told that all Super Beetles have 1600 CC motors. These are a few issues that I feel need to be addressed: 1. Gas gage only works sometimes. 2. There is one missing hubcap. 3. Drivers side wing window latch is missing. 4. The heater condition is unknown--it doesn't look to be hooked up. 5. There are some, but very little tear in the drivers side carpet near to the door. 6. The window rails need to be adjusted; they do roll up and down, but need a little assistance. 7. There are a few minor paint chips. 8. The louver behind the drivers side back glass--the fins are broken. 9. The drivers side seat bottom is ripped(as seen in photo). 10. The radio/CD player is not hooked up, but all of the wiring seems to be there. Like I said, it is in very good condition, but with its age, it has a few flaws. Other than the things on the list, the car runs and drives amazing. Winning bidder is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs. A deposit of $500.00 is due within 24hrs of 'End of Auction', and the Balance due within 72hrs of 'End of Auction'.
