1969 Classic VW Beetle Autostick - 7 Day Auction This car is a blast to drive! The Autostick was a feature in a few of the production years. No clutch, you just change the gear with the stick (3 speed plus reverse.) Works well. The 1500cc single port motor runs smoothly, quietly, and will easily go 75mph on the highway. 5 NEW tires. New carburetor and electronic ignition, so she runs great (her name is Jewel.) Absolutely no rust. This car was restored locally here in Taos, NM. The interior has new white upholstery and headliner, black carpet, rubber trim, handles, etc. It has been painted with original VW green and looks fantastic. This car turns heads. She sat for decades in the dry New Mexico air and was restored a few years back by a local mechanic who we bought it from. We believe it actually has less than 20K original miles, but can't prove it for lack of documentation. We have used this car as a run-around and towed it behind our motorhome when traveling. The dent came from mistakenly backing up (oops.) The fender can be replaced easily. The heat WORKS! All lights work, signals, etc. Handles well. Located in Taos, NM for pickup (only.) Tow bar included if you want to tow it back, it's a piece of cake because Beetles are so light. We are selling this vehicle because we are moving to the coast and it doesn't seem right to take a rustless classic to a place with salty air, which could be damaging.
