Brighton Motorsports is proud to present this 1962 Austin Healey 3000 Tri-Carb with Overdrive and factory Hard Top. Austin Healey only built the Big Healeys with three carburetors over the period of one year. Add the Overdrive and the Factory Hard Top and you have a fairly rare and desirable Healey. This car is absolutely as beautiful in person as it is in the photos. We have serviced this car for our customer over the last 2 to 3 years. It has not needed any major work, just minor service. The car runs fantastic, shifts, drives and stops VERY WELL! It needs nothing mechanically. One thing you may notice in the engine photos, is the addition of a fan and some duct work that we fabricated to cool the fuel bowl of the rear carburetor. Our customer actually drives the car even when it gets warm here in Arizona and this addition successfully kept the car from vapor locking in our heat. It could easily be removed without a trace. The owner of this car is the guy you want to buy a car from. He is absolutely meticulous about the cosmetics and drivability of the car. He does drive the car frequently and drives it enthusiastically, yet by the condition you would think it is a trailer queen. The only thing that may be done to improve the cosmetics of this car, would be fresh paint on the hard top so it matches the quality of the rest of the car. This car really needs to be seen and driven in person to appreciate it. It has won first place in its class when it was shown at Wheels of Britain in 2012.
