Up for auction is a 1948 GMC 1 ton step side pickup with the 9 foot bed. The previous owner completed the restoration in 2000, All was done by him except professional paint and body work. This was originally built, by GMC, as a work utility vehicle. It has been restored with this in mind, it is not a concours type resto. It is restored to drive and enjoy. I have owned this truck since March of 2009, the previous owner hauled his grandkids in parades, so I freshened up the restoration by touching up the paint and replacing parts with new ones: new tires, hubcaps, fuel pump, tail lights, new plugs and plug wires, rear wheel seals and bearings, front brake linings, rechromed front bumper, recored radiator and top end of motor. I noticed a couple months ago the gas gauge stopped working. It is powered by a 1953 Chevrolet 235 cubic in. 6 cyl. engine, 5:14 rear gear, 9 ft. white oak bed with stainless steel strips, 4 speed trans. 12 volt elect. system, 17 in. wheels, the ext. color is Brewster green. There is a $500 deposit due, via paypal, within 48 hrs. of auctions end. Balance due, in cash, at time of pickup of truck. You will be given a clear title at that time.
