By 2004, the Porsche 996 Carrera was completely refined and widely known as the more reliable model year. Furthermore, many of the automotive journalists touted the 996 C4S as one of the most drivable Porsches ever built.
The owner of this C4S purchased it new from Newport Beach Porsche in Orange County, CA. He is a local PCA member who had owned a 1987 Targa for years and finally decided to upgrade to something newer. He carefully selected this car with (in my opinion) just the right and tasteful options.
The C4S Porsches come very well equipped with tons of standard equipment. In addition, the following options were ordered:

This Porsche is bone-stock with no modifications. It has never been abused. It is owned by a mature adult.
The owner of this car is your typical PCA Member/Owner….fanatical. The car was properly serviced every year, regardless of miles and nothing was ever over-looked. Unfortunately, in February of 2010 (with only 22,000 miles on the car), the owner went into his garage and found a huge oil leak under the car. He had the car flat-bedded to his local Porsche dealership and they gave him the bad news that the motor was in need of attention. The rear main seal had failed and the Intermediate shaft bolt had broken. The owner had two choices: 1) Rebuild the existing motor or 2) Replace the motor with a new factory replacement. Although it was an additional $4,000, the owner opted for a completely new factory engine. The new engine had all the new 997 updates for extended reliability.
The car was always garaged and rarely driven in inclement weather. It was mostly a weekend car. The paint is mostly original except for the right rear fender, which was recently painted due to a small dent and scratch from a parking lot incident. The exterior looks great with just some minor rock chips on the front, which are typical for the age of the car. The front left part of the bumper has a small seal below the headlight that is loose. The wheels look great. The brakes have more than half-life remaining. The tires have been replaced once and have a bit less than half-life left. The interior is also in great condition. There are no cracks, tears, or any other signs of misuse. There are no unusual smells. This has always been a non-smoker vehicle.
California registration is paid through November 2014.
This Porsche comes with all the books/owner’s manuals, window sticker, tool kit, spare, and tire inflator.
