PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO READ THIS AD FULLY!!!!!!! *****LOW RESERVE******LOW BUY IT NOW**** This a for a 1996 Chevy Silverado Z-71 Extended cab 3 door stepside.This is a southern truck and is unmolested and RUST FREE.It still has the original exhaust.The truck runs Great.The motor is smooth and strong with no smoke, no ticks or no knocks.It has a new timing chain and gears and a full tune up,with new cap,rotor,wires and plugs.The transmission is BAD.It makes a whining sound in park an neutral when you first crank it but shuts up in a few minutes or when put in gear.It will go into drive fine, but sometimes reverse dosen't engage.The fluid is very clean and full and has NO burnt smell and I have NOT changed it.the level of the fluid doesn't seem to change on the trans dipstick whether is is running or off.The level stays the same either way.It might be as simple as a trans service(filter stopped up????), but plan on a bad trans to be safe.The body is very straight and rust free.The truck is a little muddy underneath but it doesn't look like it has been abused off road.No skid plates are bent and everything including the spare tire and original muffler are still in place.The paint appears original and is still descent other than a few scratches and small dings.The paint peeling only on the tail gate.Bed looks new under the liner.The doors open and shut great and are still tight.All the glass is good.The power windows and locks all work.All lights work.The a/c and heater work but do NOT blow out of the center vents only floor and defrost.The interior is dirty and needs cleaning.The drivers seat has a tear as shown in the photos,but everything else is fine.The dash has NO cracks. ***The original gauge cluster was not working(tach and oil,temp)when I got it,so I replaced it with another one from a low milage truck.It is now showing 67K, but the actual miles were around 187K on the old cluster.Everything now works and it will be sold as milage exempt.I am not trying to mislead anyone. The truck will come with a aftermarket CD player that has been installed since the photos were taken yesterday.I also have a full set of 2008 17" wheels that will come with it also.See photos.Please keep in mind this truck is NOT drivable due to the trans.It will drive onto a transport truck or trailer with no problem.The photos tell the story. Please keep in mind this is a 18 year old truck.With that said, it still has a lot of life left in it.
