Vehicle Detail
1956 Chevrolet Nomad with a 1965 327 V8 and 4 barrel carbuerator. Smoothly shift through the gears with a Saginaw 4 speed Trans and original stock rearend. Nice power!!!It runs, drives and stops great.Stock drum, non power brakes work very efficiently and quick. This is an original built in Los Angeles, California car. The original factory colors are turquoise and ivory. Car is primered rust/brownish red color. The floorpans, rockers and spare tire well are in very nice, non rust, solid condition. The only rust I have found is on the roof just above the driver and passenger doors above the driprails and it is minor. The body is really straight with rust free doors, fenders and quarter panels.Car is very solid to leave as is and drive it daily anywhere. Or it is an excellent candidate to do a full restoration on at very reasonable cost. All the stainless is complete and very straight with the exception of the left rear quarter which is slightly scraped at the last 12 inches or so. The rear hatch is sprung but is repairable and still operates. Stock tires and wheels and dog dish hubcaps. The rear wheels are from a station wagon with a different offset from the fronts. Bumpers are straight and solid, but could be rechromed. The interior has the stock front and rear seats and have been redone in plain black vinyl at sometime in the past. The seam is coming apart on the front seat next to the shifter. There are no door panels or carpet and they are not included with the car. Easy to come by. The car appears to be an automatic originally. All the lights, turn signals, gauges, heater fan and dome lights work. This car is a nice straight solid driver that can be left as is or fully restored. You don't find many driver Nomads around this solid, but this car just has a really cool look to it and I would drive it anywhere without hesitation. Very reliable. The reserve I believe is set at a very reasonable price for a turn key Nomad in this solid of a running condition. Please feel free to see the car locally in person, email me for details. This car is for sale locally, so I do reserve the right to end auction early if it sells through one of my other connections. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. You won't regret buying this car.
