Vehicle Detail
This Syclone has only 1,790 original miles, and is in showroom condition. Last driven in June 1996. Also included with the truck: original windshield decal - still in box, has never been installed; an unopened model kit of the Syclone, and a size 2X Syclone jacket. The GMC Syclone is a high-performance version of the GMC Sonoma pickup truck. The Syclone was produced in the 1991 model year only and in that year, just 3,000 Syclones were manufactured. The Syclone was the fastest vehicle made in 1991, and could accelerate from 0-60 in under 5 seconds - faster than even a Corvette or Ferrari of the time. Featuring a Mitsubishi TD06-17C 8 cm² turbocharger[1] and Garrett water/air intercooler attached to a 4.3 L LB4 V6 engine with unique pistons, main caps, head gaskets, intake manifolds, fuel system, exhaust manifolds, and a 48mm twin bore throttle body from the 5.7 L GM Small-Block engine, the Syclone spawned the similarly powered 1992-1993 GMC Typhoon SUV. We urge prospective bidders to view this vehicle before bidding. The Syclone may be viewed at any time during Museum hours: 7 days per week from 9am-5pm. For other viewing times, please contact the Museum to arrange an appointment. The Northeast Classic Car Museum is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation, currently exhibiting over 160 classic and vintage vehicles.
