Vehicle Detail

Complete 1964 impala, no Bondo, 6 cyl, 3 on tree, 41,000 miles stored inside most of its life, 2 owner car. Was used on the farm and to drive to town, and out to the field. Was the prize possession of the original farmer, sold to the neighbor and used by the hired hand. Stored in 1986 in Quonset where it sat on a gravel floor until the bad winter of 2009, heavy snow forced them to push it outside before the collapse of the barn. Condition: OK Boys, we are all car guys, lets cut to it..... this is not new, it has been loved and used, i almost didn't wash it, or take out the interior, but I really like this and want to find a good home. mice nested in the inside, so i cleaned it all out, and disinfected it, no smell. i didn't want them in my shop, so i will be as honest as I can, here is what i can see. Only minor rust, 2 small spots on floor about 3" dia, trunk solid, very small seam in trunk about 2", and small areas around lower 1/4 panels (shown), pass fender has small area, driver looking solid. yep 1 good dent, the farm hand backed into a digger hitch by the taillight, easy fix, 1/4 panel not effected. I'd pull it out and save it, or a replacement panel is available for $50, drill out spot welds, tack it in, amateur stuff. Minor rubs n scuffs. I have pics from where she sat to present of this girl. Glass all good but windshield cracked. Driver door window track worn out, glass was down for 3 years, ruined seat, I have all the interior in my storage which goes with car, all bows trim and panels. Many reproductions available. Start fresh :) 6cyl is complete, likely stuck, (but who cares....really...put a v8 in it...) 3 on tree...yea....might be good. the wheels and tires are my rollers, not included, I will have some basic rims and tires on her at time of pickup that hold air. (these don't)...I have bought good taillights for her, and replaced broken ones, the hood hinges were junk, ditched them so they wouldn't bend the hood. Oiled up the hinges...kinda like having her around. We are all big boys playing with big toys. You know what it is like to work on junk, this is certainly not. I don't really care if I sell it, honestly I would like to build it, but don't want it to wait out side for its turn. if you have questions ask, as is where is, will help load, this will be one fine ride....I have many other cars, trucks, parts mostly Chevy's, some others, all hot rod stuff, bring a big truck and greenbacks & no BS . Peace and Hot Rods Forever.
