I purchased this project as a donor for a Manx that I am building. When I saw the welded frame and realized that the IMP is only shortened 12" instead of 14 1/4", I decided to build this one out and sell it. I recently attended MANX on the Banx with this car and it preformed flawlessly. I towed it to the outer banks then drove it from Corolla to the Virginia state line and back. It was great fun! Nothing needs to be done to this car but enjoy it. It has a new windshield, new tires, new brakes and I think that I would keep it except that I drove a Manx as a daily driver from 1968- 1970 and I am rebuilding one just like the one I had. The original color of this car was sunburst orange. It has a clean 1965 VW North Carolina title. It has new seats and adjusters and the back seat frame material is also marine starboard like the floorpans. Windshield wipers work and rear view mirror taken off for travel.
