You are bidding on a real STEEL chevy 3 window coupe street rod. I bought it from the guy who built it 23 years ago. He indicated that it was an excellent body with only 1 small area of repair. All the wood was good too. The car was painted 20 years ago and still shows no significant signs of any body deterioration, except a small crack at the corner of the rumble seat area. The car was always kept inside. The roof has been filled and has held up well. The paint is presentable but need to be repainted to be show quality. It has some nicks, chips, and scratches. Decent shine. The fenders and running boards are glass. he threw the originals away because they were dented up. The doors could use a slight adjustment from the adjusters behind the door panel. I have been underneath and all the wood is still in very good condition. The frame is the original with some boxing, 10 bolt chevy rear on leaf springs. independant front suspension with rack and pinion steering. It has a tilt wheel with a Grant steering wheel, Classic gauges, new glass. everything works. no heat or a/c. the interior is funcitonal; but needs to be upgraded. The motor is a stock chevy with a gear drive. IT has a new intake and carb. turbo 350 trans. it leaks a little trans fluid when sitting at times. I have another full 4-piece hood for it too. It runs and drives good. you can drive and have fun while you make it nicer. I was going to take it make it my winter project, but i have other projects too. So may loss can be your gain.
