Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a beautiful two owner, 1959 Impala two door hard top, with only 75,804 original miles. The current owner bought this Impala in 1981, with 70,630 miles, and has only put on a little over 5,000 miles since that time. The car has a older repaint. It was probably done in the late 70's or early 80's. (Good job, but the car could use a buffing.) All stainless, is as nice as I have seen. No dings, is bright, and shows well. The grill, head light, tail light rings are aluminum, and look new. There is one very small ding on the front top aluminum trim, above the head lights, drivers side. (Please look at pictures closely.) All chrome looks great, but one top fender spear, has some very small pitting. The body is very straight, has never been hit, and all body lines are factory. The car has a rust problem on the right side, lower body, in front of the rear wheel. (Traped water in early years, two meny wash jobs.) The floor pans, and the rest of the car have no rust. The car has it's original interior, and it looks very very nice. No rips, no tairs, and the carpeting is also the original, and nice. The original AM radio, with dull speekers, plays good, and has great sound. The original clock is not working. The steering wheel has no cracks, the dash pad also has no cracks, and all gages work. Interior bright work, is also very nice. All windows roll up, and down as they should, and glass is good. The doors open, and shut easy, with no sag at all. This Impala is running a set of old Remington Cushion - Air G-78X14 Wide white's, with nice original hub caps, that help date the car, and mileage. The car has its original Powerpack 283 4 barrel engine, that had a valve job in 2005. The owner also had a new Edelbrock Performer intake, and carb, Installed at the same time. The original intake, carb, and valve covers, do come with the car. New dull exhaust, and gas tank were also installed in 2005. Since then the car has been sitting in the garage and not driven. The powerglide transmission has a rebuild sticker on the side, so has very few miles on it. (Rebuild sometime in the late 70's or early 80's.) The car starts easy, runs good, and drives nice, with it's power steering. The engine dose smoke a little, but should stop with driving. A new battery has been put in, and all fluids have been toped off. This car is ready. This is a very nice original 59 Impala, and will make a great addition to any collection. Buyer is responsible for shipping and all shipping costs. We will help with loading on our end, and in anyway we can.
