Up for NO RESERVE auction this week we have my grandfathers 1992 caprice that he has owned for 20 years. The car has been garage kept and has accumulated only 65,600 miles from new. We are selling the car because his eye sight has gotten bad enough that he can no longer pass the eye exam for a drivers license. Although he lost his license we learned he was still driving the car so we then put a club on the steering wheel only to find out later that he was sitting in the car with a hacksaw trying to cut the club off (hence the nick in the steering wheel). So our only remaining choice was to take the car away and sell it. The caprice is in excellent condition with only a couple of chips in the original paint along with one or two door dings. The car runs and drives great with no warning lights, or noises. I just drove the car about 100 miles from my grandfathers home in PA to south Jersey and went through all the systems in the car and found everything in working order except the radio and the rear power windows. My grandfather maintained the car meticulously and even kept part numbers for air and oil filters taped to the air cleaner lid so he knew what to purchase at the auto parts store. This would be great as a first car or would be an excellent blank canvas for a low rider or an impala ss clone. Low miles, very clean and no rust.
