These Vortec engines are very reliable and are well known to exceed 300k miles. I personally had one of these two door models that I sold with 225k on the odometer and is still around with 286k on it. These two door Tahoes don’t show up very often and when they do, they sell quick!! This truck would make a great winter vehicle and is priced to sell quickly. Engine runs great, transmission shifts smooth and the brakes stop well. There were some maintenance records left in the truck which indicate the following: - Oil was just changed on 8/26/13 with 142,506 miles. It is due for its next service at 147,506 miles. The truck runs synthetic oil. - On 5/2/13, at a cost of $728, the truck received the following repairs o New Valve Cover gaskets (old ones worn out and started to seep) o New Front Pads and Rotors o New Oil Cooler Lines o New Fittings on Intake and Heater Hoses, along with new hoses o Mileage when these repairs were done was 138,100 miles. o New Battery was installed in January of 2012 There are also many other slips in the truck showing a trend that this truck was always maintained properly and taken for regular maintenance and oil changes, always with synthetic oil. The body is very clean with only a few very minor cosmetic flaws. There is some rust on the rear bumper. There is also some rust starting on the bottoms of the left side barn door and passenger door. Typical for this era Chevy. The truck drives nice down the road but there is a slight slap in the driveline when taking off. It feels to me like it might be time for new U-Joints. Also there is some belt noise under the hood when running. Sounds to me like it is due for a new belt and tensioner. Please expect that there may be misc. scratches parking lot dings, etc. to be expected for a truck of this age. The interior is very clean with no major rips and tears. There is some minor wear on the age of the driver’s seat from getting in and out. This is a clean NON-SMOKING interior. All four tires are Cooper Discovery ATR with roughly 30-40% tread remaining. Vehicle does not have a spare as it was not in the truck when it was traded in. See pictures for details.
