Hi there and welcome to an auction for a piece of California sunshine, this 1975 Ford Pinto. It is yellow with Black interior.I 've had this car since last April, and bought her from a friend who's uncle had passed away. His uncle was somewhat of a character (and hoarder), and luckily he had a habit of buying cars new and driving them until they needed repair, then putting them away in a garage and buying another new car. He drove this car sparingly from 1975 to 1985 and then put it away. I will include some pictures of when I first saw the car in his garage.. The exterior paint and interior are original and in pretty nice shape. The driver's seat is separating some in the bottom pad area, other than that they are nice..Mechanically, I put tires on it, then re-did the brakes including wheel cylinders, master cylinder, front brake lines, pads, and shoes. Engine wise, it runs great. we changed the water pump, timing belt, belts and hoses, rebuilt the carburetor, and added an electric fuel pump. The electric pump is the only deviation from stock, otherwise it's all original and all there. Runs good and burns clean. It doesn't need any smog certification in California so that's nice. It came with and extra exhaust resonator and runs quietly. Options include factory roof rack, sport mirrors, working AC, power steering, map light, and AM radio. The paint is not perfect but good to go as a driver/survivor. There are more pictures of the car at thepintobarn dot com. I have the original pink slip and whoever titles it next will be the second registered owner . To title and drive it is easy, just needs a vin inspection. There are no outstanding fees at DMV, it just needs to get put back in the system. I recently did this with my 74 Hatchback and it was easy.
